Chuck
Sayers
Chuck Sayers was born February 22, 1977 and raised in Valdosta, Georgia. Chuck graduated from Lowndes High School in 1996. It wasn’t until 1999, at the age of 22, that he made a commitment to make Jesus the Lord of his life. One year later, he felt God calling him to attend Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. In his first year at Rhema, Chuck believed that God was calling him to minister to children. While in college, he got the opportunity to minister at the Dream Center in San Francisco, CA. During his time at the Dream Center, he got to minister to children living in the projects and the homeless of San Francisco. After graduating from Rhema with a degree in Children’s Ministry in 2002, Chuck worked for Bridges for Peace in Tulsa, OK. In 2003, he moved back to Valdosta and worked odd jobs, while serving as the College and Career director at Southland Church. During his time at Southland, Chuck went on a mission trip to minister to children in different remote villages in Peru, along the Ni Nia River. While serving at Southland he also led a ministry called Free Ride, whose purpose was to reach out to patrons of local bars that were too intoxicated to drive themselves home. In 2004 Chuck joined the NCC staff as Assistant Facilities Manager. Later, he became the Manager of Facilities and the Disaster Relief Team’s Coordinator. Chuck served faithfully and in late 2007 became the Children’s Ministry Director. Chuck has a passion to partner with parents in reaching their kids to be fully devoted followers of Christ. He believes that the most effective evangelism and discipleship happens right in our very own homes. Chuck and his wife, Kellie Renee Sayers, live in Valdosta with their daughter, Sammie Elle Sayers. |
