DISASTER RELIEF
MISSION:
“Feeding the Fishermen"
(These are families in “out of the way” places who STILL don’t have power and are not able financially to get to bigger places where food trucks & such have been going or to get supplies. We will be working with & staging from a local church and have church members there coordinating the distribution of food.)
PLACE:
East Point in Carrabelle, FL
DATE:
Friday, November 30
NCC / CKP TEAM:
We need 4 – 5 people (Sharon & Don will go, we need 2 or 3 more).
We will be 1 of 4 teams (3 from other churches).
We will each be distributing from trucks, to families in specific areas as specified by the church in East Point coordinating for us.
TIME:
Leave 4:30 AM, Arrive 7:30 AM
(Have to allot extra time for damaged roads, going slower.)
Plan to arrive back home late that night, around 10:00 PM.
Bring sandwiches, snacks, water, etc. for yourself for the day.
Wear comfortable tennis or walking shoes.
GOALS:
Feeding 300 families
– NCC sponsor 100 Boston Butts --
Raise $1,500 by November 26th

Notes / Other Needs:
1)Mr. Bridges can use 2 or 3 volunteers for meat prep and cooking Thursday, November 29, afternoon and late evening. This will be done here at his local cooking shelter. Address will be provided.
2)We need someone traveling “on team” for Friday with a full-size pick-up truck that can pull a loaded trailer. We need to transport bread. (working on donations from Martin’s and others.)
3)Preschool families are participating in a change drive to provide clothing, books, toys, etc., for the children of these families for Christmas…to be given at same time.
